Steve's painting 'Nest In Situ" received an Honorable Mention in Watercolor Artists magazine's 6th Annual Watermedia Showcase. The competition entries were featured in the April 2015 issue.

I really love this painting. I came across it at The Shaw Nature Reserve Art Show. I would purchase it in a heartbeat had it not been the end of the year. (so many expenses) I just wanted you to know that I really enjoy your art and find it to be phenomenal. This painting particularly got my attention because of the shadowing and detail. I'm not an artist but I love nature and all things natural. You really captured the beauty of this nest. Standing back and looking at this painting from a distance it is so detailed that it almost looks like a photo. You are so very talented! I will be following your work in the future!
